Decentriq uses data protection technology and AI to enable secure collaboration on sensitive data without sharing raw data. The co-finalists Avelo and Stimit each received CHF 10,000. The Pionierpreis has been awarded annually by Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) and Technopark Zurich since 2001.

Imaging techniques (neuroimaging) are important for the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, as they can visualize misfolded proteins. However, these diagnostic imaging methods are bulky and expensive. The company Positrigo has recognized this problem and has significantly downsized the scanner to make functional brain imaging more efficient, cost-effective and accessible.
