On Tuesday, October 22, the 11th Swiss Cyber Storm took place in the Kursaal Bern. The theme of this year’s Swiss cybersecurity conference was “The AI Revolution.” Of the 22 talks by national and international speakers, 16 were dedicated to the core topic of artificial intelligence. On the one hand, they highlighted the dangers of AI-supported attacks and, on the other, how artificial intelligence can be used to defend against previously unknown attacks. Another topic was the security requirements of AI-based IT systems. The other talks dealt with other current IT security topics such as the security of nuclear power plants, the sense of cyber insurance and the choice of the right IT security metrics.
science communications supported Swiss Cyber Storm throughout the year with the appropriate communication measures, from media releases and newsletter texts to social media campaigns on LinkedIn and X and support for media representatives at the conference itself. With a total of over 400 people present, Swiss Cyber Storm was able to report a record-breaking number of participants this year.
