I support research institutions, scientific programs, and technology companies in strategically positioning and communicating their work. The focus is on:
In this context, strategic communication does not mean “PR,” but rather guidance: What is essential? For whom? In what context? And in what tone?
In workshops, I work with executives and decision-makers to develop answers to questions such as:
The answers are developed collaboratively and then clearly documented. This creates the foundation for decisive action.
In addition to strategic clarification, the development of compelling narratives plays a central role. Scientific and technological projects are often complex and cannot be reduced to simple buzzwords. Together with those responsible, I work to structure the core content in a way that makes its significance clear: for the expert community, for partner organizations, and for decision-makers. This results in a consistent content strategy that serves as the foundation for texts, presentations, media relations, and visual communication.
A significant part of my work takes place on-site – in the lab, in the field, and within the daily work routines of researchers or engineers. This is where interviews, documentary photography, and films are created; they are not staged but emerge directly from the work itself. This is only possible in moments when people forget they are being observed and focus entirely on their tasks.
In challenging situations, I support organizations with crisis communication. The goal is always de-escalation: through precise root-cause analysis, strategic foresight, coordinated processes, and the ability to remain effective even under pressure.
These assignments require level-headedness and discretion. Over the past 25 years, I have advised numerous institutions in crisis situations and consistently been able to defuse situations.
My approach is tailored to organizations that are scientific or technological leaders, think and act globally, and view communication as a long-term investment.
It is not suitable for short-term campaigns without lasting impact, purely reach-driven strategies without substantive content, or standardized PR packages.
If you’ve reached a point where your communication needs to become not louder, but more precise, credible, and sustainable, I’d be happy to take the time for a conversation.
