ETH Domain launches website to promote Open Research Data

ETH Zurich, EPFL, PSI, WSL, Empa and Eawag have jointly launched a website on Open Research Data (ORD) to promote the open exchange of research data. The platform promotes the open exchange of research data. Science communications moderated the communication workshop, developed the concept, layout and texts and coordinated the implementation.

The six national research institutions of the ETH Domain have jointly launched a new website on Open Research Data (ORD) to promote the open exchange of research data.

We moderated the workshop to define the communication strategy, developed the concept of the website including visual language and rough layout, wrote a first version of the texts and orchestrated the work between graphic designers, web developers and clients. On the client side, 37 senior scientists represent the six institutions of the ETH Domain – ETH Zurich and EPFL in Lausanne – as well as the four research institutes – Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL), Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa) and Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag). The ETH Domain is strategically managed by the ETH Board.

The new website is primarily aimed at the institutions’ researchers and offers them an up-to-date overview of the status of the multi-year program, which runs from the beginning of 2020 to the end of 2024. The aim is to promote projects in connection with ORD and to drive forward the development of processes and infrastructures.
