Content Creation for Deep Tech and Life Science

Scientific expertise. Strategic communication. 25 years of proven experience.

The best people are looking for work that matters. They want to know what they will be contributing to before they decide to join a company. Investors need to understand what they are backing. And customers will only embrace a new technology if they can quickly see what it can do for them.

For 25 years, we have helped companies and research organizations make complex science and technology understandable. This is not about simplifying the science. It is about getting to the heart of a new solution and showing what makes it valuable. We work closely with founders, research leaders and sales teams to identify what truly sets a company apart – and where these strengths meet the needs of the people it wants to reach. From there, we find the words, images and stories that bring ideas to life.

For deep tech and life science companies, this kind of storytelling has become increasingly important. Recruiting outstanding scientists and engineers takes more than a promising job description. People who have a choice want to understand, almost at a glance, the quality of the science, the ambitions of the company and the people they would be working with. Much the same applies – in different ways – to investors, customers, partners and journalists.

We understand the science

Our team includes scientists with research backgrounds in molecular biology, earth sciences and anthropology. For more than two decades, we have ventured into unfamiliar intellectual territory almost every day – asking questions until we understand what really matters, what makes a new solution different, and what merely sounds impressive. That understanding changes the way we work. You do not have to translate your science for us before we can communicate it to others.

We go where the work happens

Much of what makes a company interesting cannot be found in a report. We talk to the people developing the technology, visit laboratories and production facilities, and observe how people actually work.

As writers, we are interested in people’s thoughts, not in making readers follow every step of their thinking. Our job is to get to the point. The thinking itself is often better shown than described: in a researcher absorbed in an experiment, an engineer working through a problem, or a team confronting an unexpected result.

This is where some of the strongest images and stories emerge. Documentary photography accompanies the text and captures the concentration, curiosity and intensity behind an innovation without having to explain them. Such moments often reveal more about a company and its culture than the most carefully orchestrated corporate photograph ever could.

Communication with substance

We do not believe that complex science needs to be dressed up to become interesting. It needs to be understood.

Getting there, however, takes work. It begins with careful positioning: establishing what is distinctive, why it matters, and to whom. From this, we develop the key messages and headlines that carry the argument – clear enough for someone scanning a page to understand what the company is about.

The same thinking then shapes everything else: the website, specialist articles, films, documentary photography and media coverage. Over time, this creates something that cannot be manufactured overnight: authority. The communication has enough substance to convince specialists, while remaining clear enough to reach people beyond the field.

The goal is simple: when the right people encounter your company, they should understand what you do, why it matters – and why they might want to be part of it.

Since 2009, we have accompanied the researchers of the Branco Weiss Fellowship at ETH Zurich – in laboratories, in the field and wherever their work takes them.
